Nada es imposible para DIOS…. Lucas 1:37
Bienvenidos todas a mi blog! Aka Welcome everyone to my blog!
Wow! It’s so crazy how time flies! I’m already on month three in San Salvador, El Salvador. The capital of the whole country. This month my team and I are serving a church that is called Iglesia Cristiana Timoteo. Since I’ve been here, I don’t think I’ve ever been so loved for these people serve us like we are royalty! But come to think of it I would do the same thing for anybody who comes to my house as a guest!
What are typical week looks like is on Monday they have us cleanup the church which they have us sweep, cleaning windows and we been doing landscaping as well. Also after night service we go to the hospital to pray over the patients and give them coffee and cakes. Tuesday’s we have been going to their sister church which looks like a tiny one room house. It is in a village, a couple hours south of San Salvador and we ride in the back of a pickup truck to get there. Having church in the village makes my heart big for how many kids attend that church in such a small building. It’s probably my favorite part of the week. The rest of the week is pretty much the same as Monday since we have service about every night except Thursdays and Saturdays. Which are our days off.
You also probably wondering why my title is in Spanish and why I have that as my verse Luke 1:37. Well that is painted all over the church we are serving at. My brother Samuel was saying that it is probably a sign from Jesus to show us something this month. I was praying to find out why that was what Jesus wanted. So in English it is pronounced “Nothing is impossible with God”. I realized that even with the Language barrier being kind of a blockage for Satan to interfere with our communication with the people of the church. Which meant that it wasn’t going to effect me and my team from connecting with the people of the Church. Like Pastor Aldo, does so much for us with his family cooking us three square meals a day and providing us transportation for my team. Pastor Mario has a great sense of humor with me especially wanting me to know Spanish and teaching me to do so well at it. Pastor Aldo’s mother has been like our mother for preparing our meals and doing our laundry. Along with a member of their family always assisting her and us when needed. Young William a young man they brought in as family has such a servants heart and so mature for his age. Did I mention he’s 17? YEAH!!!!! Last and certainly not least. Probably the guy we have been connecting with, more on a daily basis. Older William is has had a huge impact on my heart! He has not failed once to put a smile on our face especially Rashad’s! He’s quite the jokester if you know what I mean! But has such a big heart for the Lord, people, and having to appreciate serving his church. Also I feel like we give him so much Joy! I can go on and on about everyone. But this is a blog not a novel! Haha…
Well thank you all for reading this its been hard doing this since I’m not much of a blogger. But the Lord pushes me to my limits!
