I wanted everybody that reads my blogs daily, time to time or just every now or then to find out about the people I’ve been working with this past week. My team is called Grit meaning courage and resolve or strength of character. Somebody at training gave us this name because it was the first thing that came to mind when it came to our group. We actually happen to be the only coed team but i couldn’t see myself with any other team as of were God has us. So let me go ahead and start with introduction.
I will start with our team leader Rashad, this guy has a big heart for the Lord and his passion is to keep on seeking the Lord! Also has a passion in leading young men to the Lord and be accountable for them. He’s from Minnesota and he just likes to be a practical jokester. I look forward to him growing with the Lord and seeing him succeed in his leadership role.
Next we have one of our logistic leaders Maggie, she is strong, caring and a powerful woman of God. She has one of the most difficult jobs on our squad which means that she has to deal with the transportation for the whole squad for the whole year. I tell you thank God she is willing to take on that responsbility. She really has a passion for the Lord and really cares for people. I can’t wait to see her in action when she starts pouring into people! Also i don’t know exactly where she from because she’s moved a lot as a kid but we will just say she’s from Charleston since that’s where she last lived.
Next we have our treasurer Michelle, she has been known for as the mom of our team. She has the biggest heart and the biggest smile all the time! She deals with all of our finances like budgeting and filling out reciepts. She is from Kansas and kind of a small town kid like me. She doesn’t seem to complain and always seem to have joy being around kids. She has such a good passion for Jesus and has shown us what it really means to be obedient.
Next we have our storyteller and mostly like my big brother Samuel, gosh there is so much i can tell about him but it could possibly take a whole blog haha! But in a few words i can describe him as a teacher, very wise in the spirit and strong with the Lord. He’s from California and tends to always have a story that is mentioned of the Lord and scripture. He‘s probably been the closest person i have encountered since being on the race. He will do anything to be stronger in the Lord and can’t wait to see what else is in store!
Next we have our Rockstar Raquel aka rocky, she is one of the strongest and most courageous woman i’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. She’s from New Mexico and never stops trying to seek the Lords presence. God is already been using her in so many ways and i’m so impress already. Can’t wait to see what God has in store for her.
I wanted to add someone else in here thats techinally not on the team but its like he has been. His name is Alberto, he is fourteen years old and a local of the San Ignacio, Belize. He‘s energetic, positive and is always up to hanging around with us. We have enjoyed his company and can’t for God to move in his life this month with hanging around him.
I guess I should mention me since we want to include whole team huh lol But I’m Isaac and the role i choose to partake in is a ARMOR-BEARER! What that means is that I tend to serve my team in whatever I can do to lend a hand, give my input and feedback, be accountable to each of them, and be the best Man of God I can be. God gave me a purpose to be a ARMOR-BEARER and to be apart of this team. So everyone still keep us in your prayers and God bless!
