I’m in Honduras!
After traveling for about 30 hours going through two customs, getting couple more stamps on my passport and trying to get comfortable on a cramped bus with 35 other people. By the Grace of God i have made!
We are in the Valle de Angeles aka the valley of angels! We have been in a all squad month and we are all doing a ministry called Hope at Hand! It’s a orphanage for adults with mental disability and my team got picked to be at the mans house. Most of the men who live there are very independent of themselves but two of them cannot be able to care of themselves.
The guys at our house are menico, severro, Ronnie, chicho, nino, Julio, Juan carlo and Edwin. These guys have been such a pleasure to be around! At first it was so hard to open up and show these guys love because it took them awhile to open up to us. But we were able to find a ways to interact even though there was a language barrier. This guy Sevarro could not walk on his feet but was able to do stuff with his hands like push himself around the floor, play with a soccer ball and likes to touch anything he sees.
Our hosts David and Scarlett, David is originally from Fort Worth Texas and move to Honduras when he was 12 which means where he meet the love of his life Scarlett. She has lived in Honduras her whole life! They have been great host and they said after the race was over they would help me find a wife!!! Haha! They have really been great with teaching us the word of God and how to stay disciplined with the word.
Also I want to share about a guy named Allen who speaks good English and has been showing me and a couple of my squadmates around the Valle de Angeles! He was able to bring us to his church which only spoke Spanish. I was led by a pastor with a vision he had about me which spoke that I will pray over someone with a healing miracle. That was amazing!
P.s. sorry I haven’t been blogging much! The WiFi hasn’t been strong here. Thanks for reading though! More updates to come!
