Day 5 blog challenge: Ministry Location Sombor, Serbia
This month I get to do ministry with another team. Team Lioness! With Brooklyn, Jasmine, Rocky, Praise, Brittany and Re! Plus and squad leader Rashad and my team. We are in Sombor, Serbia partnering with a church called Protestant Christian fellowship church. Our ministry this month is to build relationships with people in the town of Sombor. We start with a prayer walk around the city. We come back and meet with our host to do practical work then we are free until 7 pm. At that time we are hanging out with a group of people at the church to develop relationships with them.
That’s pretty much a normal day but let me go a little deeper in what I am doing. When I first got here I had the attitude of me not doing enough for the kingdom of God. We had the meeting with our host about our skills and passions. When I got up to explain things I was very brief and didn’t get to share all of my skills and passions. Then when it came around to everyone else’s turn to speak. Our host kept asking everyone more questions than he asked me. So I got curious and thought I should ask him why he didn’t ask me more questions about myself. Then I realized that I didn’t need to ask him because he probably already knew then I was just going to accept whatever job I get this month.
So now coming up with jobs this month. He gave me a lot of things to do this month that I haven’t started on yet. I got a little overwhelmed with it but then realized I didn’t need to stress myself. I don’t need to impress myself I need to impress Jesus. So the jobs are going to consist with construction and helping with girls softball this month. So willing and obedient to do this for the glory of his kingdom. So excited and can’t wait to start.
