Day 20 blog challenge: What I learned about culture this trip!
So being the culture coordinator for my squad I have had the opportunity to discover and research more about each culture of the country I have been to! So I want to share what I learned about the culture in each country I have been to!
Belize: The culture in Belize seemed to be more beggars and some of them still believe in sacrificing each other was a way of life. Everyone had a hard time making a living in what they do. People seemed to struggle so much but were willing to talk to us.
Honduras: Didn’t experience much but I notice that everyone helps each other out in some way or another! The coffee, souvenir and clothing stores seemed to connect with everyone and they all went to the same church.
El Salvador: Love love and more love that I didn’t deserve! The people and community were so full of love! They poured into all of us. They were big on physical touch and taking care of everyone. Family is very big there and community is even bigger!
Vietnam: So many people everywhere! Some Vietnamese are not friendly to foreigners but when they notice you speaking English they get really excited and want to hear your voice. They don’t like physical touch but are very friendly when it comes to friendships.
Cambodia: I have noticed that some Cambodians are very persuading when they come to selling things to people. Very much want to support there families. They don’t seem to be very social though.
Albania: Pretty straight forward when coming to meet them at first. But that’s because they are very boast about speaking there mind. They are really hospitable when inviting them into your home.
Serbia: Very friendly! Might not seem like it but that’s because they are really sarcastic. Very laid back and very passionate from where they came from.
So I haven’t been to every country yet so I can’t say much about the culture of each country yet. So that’s I have on the culture.
