Training Camp was amazing!!! It was incredable meeting the people that I’ll be spending 9 months with. I also met my smaller team with 6 other people who I’ll be working closely with as we move out into the different areas. They are very passionate about…well about pretty much everything, but especially what they’ll (we’ll) be doing on this trip for God. We slept in tents and hammocks, had awesome worship, and intense Bible training. We also learned about the countries, environments, and cultures that we’ll be heading into.

Adventures In Missions also created mock situations to prepare us. Situations like sleeping overnight at an airport, going through the night with “baggage lost”, marketplace safety, and much more. The camp was good old HOT Georgia weather. It was humid so I was dirty and wet most the time. I was stretched and encouraged spiritually as we dug deep into the heart of Jesus. We learned about how to interact with children without having translator. It was important to learn what is appropriate in the different cultures, how to interact with the orphans, and how to say “good-bye” to them.

THANK YOU for your ongoing and generous support!!

My last fundraiser was a success. Thank you for everyone’s help. We’ll be in contact with those of you that donated this last 30 days about the bracelets (to get wrist size, color, & etc…) and get them to you sometime in September.

There is still an opportunity to donate and follow my blog as I leave in October and into my 9 month trip.

Peace out! Isaac
