Over the course of the last few months I have come to one huge conclusion: I am not a natural, efficient nor zealous blogger. When I took the time to ask myself why, I was surprised by my self-awareness and ability to be complete frank with myself, and all of you. Here are five reasons I have difficulty blogging on a weekly basis:
- I have a difficult time processing the deep, sweet, rich moments in life; the moments I prefer to share.
- More than one deep, sweet, rich moment happens over the course of my week; how does one choose?
- I prefer face-to-face conversations, especially one-on-one or in small gatherings. Writing on a large scale platform goes against my nature.
- My favorite way to enjoy a blanket and a glass of tea is with a book, not my laptop. Motivation will be key to encouraging me to choose my laptop first. Ideas for incentives welcomed.
- If it isn’t in my schedule, it doesn’t get done. I have yet to put ‘writing time’ into my schedule. Inevitably, I don’t make time for it then. Changes are in progress as we speak.
So there it is, plain and simple. It feels great knowing my weaknesses in this area. It will take practice and patience for me to improve upon my writing and blogging, but I will get better. Please be patient with me as I use this year to learn and grow.
