I expect to be unprepared.

I expect to be terrified at times.

I expect to struggle with the Spanish language.

Moreover, I expect to be humbled in God's presence.

I expect to be in awe of God's creations.

I expect to walk in the Holy Spirit regularly.

I expect to serve people only God can heal.

Inevitably, I expect to see miracles.

I expect to deepen my prayer life.

I expect to learn new ways to worship.

I expect to experience fellowship I never thought possible.

Undoubtedly, I expect to be challenged and in turn be changed [for the better].

I know this trip is going to remove me from my comfort zone on every level: trusting strangers, living farther from home than I’ve ever considered and opening my heart to feelings I know will be new…but that is exactly where God needs me to be to share His hope, His love and renew the lives of His people.

More than anything I hope I will be able to love the way Jesus loves me.
