Hi, my name is Irma and I’m taking a leap with God.
As most of you already know I’m going on the World Race to declare the good news that is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ… and that is something I thought I would never say. I invite you to keep reading to learn a little about me and my heart for people.
I was born into a household that wasn’t rooted in faith, we knew of God but we had no relationship with him or a church. We were just a latino family of 6 trying to make it work, and going to church wasn’t part of the routine. Of course with a very Catholic Grandma we were constantly told of God, but he wasn’t a priority. So years went by and I lived the life of a normal unsaved individual, always seeking for more, always wondering, and always questioning.
BUT… at some point I wasn’t the exception to rock bottom. I had nowhere to run but to our beautiful merciful savior.
Jesus saved me. He lifted me up and declared me worthy. I no longer saw the lack or heard the constant voice stating “you’re not enough, you are not enough”. I found a beautiful girl. A girl full of love and kindness. A person who looked in the mirror declaring herself worthy.
So why the world race? Because I want to share the truth that was given to me. This is the opportunity to help people see themselves through the eyes of our father: Loved, Known, and Worthy.
