So right now, I’m in a coffeeshop. In Battambang Cambodia! There’s air conditioning (!!!!) and wifi (!!!) and coffee that will probably be about 75 cents.
The past 8 days have been such a blur. I said goodbye to everyone and drove down to Atlanta for launch to meet the 250 other people on other Adventures trips and got reunited with the other 42 kids in my squad, k squad. We stayed in Georgia for about 3 days and learned more about life on the field, ministry techniques, and general safety. At 6:00 am on Monday we flew to San Fran !! We got to spend the day there and explore the city before we got on our second flight to China, a nice relaxing 14 hour trip. From there we flew into Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital, stayed the night there, and drove down to our ministry sites all the next day where I got to meet all the kids we will be teaching English to and yes, they’re adorable. We made it to Battambang!
Im at Ezra ministries, a new education program outside the city. All 43 of us are staying at Ezra, but about 2/3 of us will be leaving each day and going into the city for ministry. So far, we’ve explored our new home, tried street food, walked around markets, and have become acquainted to the perpetual humidity.
Anyways, we are alive and settled into our home for the next 2 months! I will share more about what’s going on so stay tuned :))
