The way God has been working in my life has been so amazing and indescribable. The way that things have been playing out is like a movie. I can literally be a bible character and have my own book in the bible. It’s crazy!!

After surrendering this past year, God was so epic in proving to me that He was there and teaching me to rest on His Word. Through what I’ve experienced, I know His Word to be true. Recently, Psalms 40:1-3 was brought to my attention, and I lost it, because that scripture was exactly how my life played out. It reads:

“I waited patiently for The Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. (Literally.) He lifted me out of a slimy pit, out of mud and mire. (My job, fear, doubt, darkness, etc.) He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. (I can recall a day where I laid on a rock on Lake Pontchartrain and read my bible. I asked The Lord if He was with me and if He could hear me. A few minutes later, a plane flew over me and drew a cross in the sky. I knew it was a sign.) He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. (I had just learned “Oceans” by Hillsong United, and it became the theme song of my life!)  Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in Him. (This is really happening.)”

It’s sooo beautiful to witness and to live for Him, but it’s such an emotional roller coaster, because your flesh and the world around you don’t coincide with the things of God. When you live for God, words like logical and realistic don’t really stand. God will tell you to quit your well paying job, and go to work at a coffee shop that’s 40 miles from your house, with pay to barely fill the gas tank. Some may say that’s irresponsible, but when God tells you to do something, you don’t ask why or how. You just do it and trust that it’s for a reason. More often than not, you come to realize why He did what He did, and your mind is blown! Checkmate!

I’ve seen The Lord keep me and do some remarkable things, but this right here is a beast. I have to raise almost $20,000 in three months, $5,000 of which needed to be raised in a week. I am at $2,000 right now, and have maybe a day or two left to raise $3,000. Here’s the thing: I know, without a doubt, my God can do it. I wouldn’t be on this journey if it weren’t for Him. There have seen so many signs and revelations about this, and when I think about everything, all arrows point to YES! THIS IS IT! Everything in me knows that it is meant for me to do The World Race for JANUARY 2017. I’m not going to lie. It’s hard when everyone around me is saying, “Well, there’s always next year. It just may not be the right time. Well, that’s a lot of money to raise in a short time; and so on.” Here’s the thing: God can do the impossible. He looovvveessss to blow people’s mind. He wouldn’t open this door this WIDE if He didn’t mean for me to walk right through it. Like I said, I’m standing on my promise! And just like Psalms 40:1-3 were my life, these will be too:

“Walk by faith, and not by sight.” 2 Cor 5: 7

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24

“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to the mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.” Mark 11:23

I trust and believe that God knows exactly what He is doing, and I am STANDING ON MY PROMISE. He’s definitely growing me and stretching me, and it’s uncomfortable, but He’s building me up in Him. I can’t wait to see how He does this!! I am believing Him for it!

So, that’s all I have for today, folks. Please pray for me while on this journey. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it. I greatly appreciate it.
