Ahhhh… Missionary life. It’s been a hard but fulfilling year of service and adventure. I’ve had the opportunity to see the world, love on people, and serve, being the hands and feet of Jesus. Whether it’s giving haircuts in Thailand, chopping veggies at an AIDS hospice in India, scrubbing carpets on a rooftop in Nepal, cutting grass by hand in Ethiopia, or teaching English to the HR department in Vietnam, it’s all been an honor to serve in any way possible. Although it’s had its hard moments like being eaten alive by mosquitos attacking you while under the mosquito net, having to live in a dungeon with the plagues going around, and getting altitude sickness, this year of giving back has been so rewarding.

See, before The Lord put it on my heart to do the World Race, missions had never crossed my mind. I barely knew what it was and had never met anyone who did. One of the things that’s so interesting to me about being a missionary is having to live off of the support of other people. I struggled with fundraising, because I hated having to ask people for money, but that’s the nature of being a missionary. I’m a goer. I’m able bodied and fit to be used, but senders are needed as well. You need people who believe in the work that God is doing through you, who can support you financially so that you can “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation” (Mark 16:15) the way we’re called to.

At first, when I was thinking about writing this blog, I didn’t want to do it because of how it feels asking people for money, but as I’m writing this, I’m realizing that I’m being obedient in what the Lord has called me to do and inviting others to do the same. A part of being a missionary is being humble and trusting the Lord that He will provide. He knows out needs, and I am fully confident that they will be met, because we are  His kids, and He takes care of us.

I want to extend the opportunity to continue to partner with me and what the Lord is doing. Would you consider partnering with me financially to help me get through the next few months?  I am fully funded, PRAISE THE LORD. That’s a miracle in itself, but my personal finances need some help. The money we’ve raised thus far is for travel, food, and lodging. The money I raise will go towards toiletries, extra food and food for travel days, a plane ticket home, laundry, cold weather clothes, the coffee I have to purchase in order to get WiFi to post blogs and such, and maybe white water rafting for my birthday next month.

Thank you so much for the encouragement, prayers, and support that everyone has given me thus far. Thank you so much in advance.
