Blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
whose heart is set on the pilgrimage.
[Psalm 84:5]

I have been settled down for quite some time now, but the truth is:
I am a pilgrim at heart.

I am more than happy to be in transit: long road trips, international flights, train rides, ferry boats…

unfamiliar smells, new sights, all that is the journey before the destination.

I am perfectly comfortable to sleep anywhere.
To talk to anyone and everyone.
Eat anything & everything.
And never feel lost.

Wanderlust is my middle name. (No, it isn't, but it should be.)
I have yet to travel just to travel.

There's always business to attend to and work to be done.

On the World Race,
I'm going to indulge my inner-pilgrim & seedsower.

While I will seldom come to feel settled in the next 11 months,
my heart will continuously be set on the pilgrimage.

(And on the days I long for heaven, I know I'll never feel settled
until the Father calls me home.)

I think of it as taking the long way home.

I cry at the thought of saying 'good-bye' — so I won't.
I will see you all next summer!

He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.
[Psalm 126:6]

Some people set their eyes on the harvest, but not me:
I love to sow the seeds.

The Johnny Appleseed Blessing

Oh, the Lord is good to me,
And so I thank the Lord
For giving me the things I need
The sun, and the rain, and the apple seed.
The Lord is good to me.
