Hello everyone!

I’m so happy and blessed to relay to you what’s new this upcoming month. I’m going to keep it casual and not too introspective. My month in China was amazing but also rather introspective on the blogfront. This month, I anticipate having more stories to tell from the mission field and from ministry.

First of all, it’s my second month with team Holy F.I.R.E. and with China as our team-building platform we have high hopes for the joy we can bring collectively to the Philippines. This is the type of team that can kick off a debrief with a hilarious practical joke on our squad leaders and coaches, before rolling up our sleeves and getting serious about Kingdom business. It’s a good balance for sure!

We are on the second largest island of the Philippines. Nestled in the center of Mindanao is the city of Malaybalay where we are now based at Mt. Moriah Christian camp with K.I.M. ministries. In our dorm style accommodations, we find refuge from the torrenteous warm-weather storms which account for the lush greenery of the rainforest terrain!

I am so excited to acclimate to this warm weather, and let the ice-cold chill of China thaw off my bones. I’ve already spent a few good walks in the rain, to my heart’s contentment. Unfortunately, I brought some cooties with me and have spent the first few days with a high fever, body-aches and congestion. The stress of travel days can take their toll, as well. (I’m glad to report that I am getting better.)

Our ministry options here in the Philippines seem to appeal to the evangelist in me. We have our choice to work in a sports ministry, a children’s home, a college campus ministry………or house-visits/door-to-door preaching! Guess which one I’m SUPER stoked out about???

If you guessed the house-visits you know me all too well. I was completely twitterpated at the mention of preaching the Gospel door-to-door and going into houses to disciple. Mmmkay!!! That is what I’m talking about.

Hooray!!!!!!! It seems the moment I’ve been waiting for on this World Race shindig has finally arrived.
In my heart of hearts I know that the best kind of ministry and Gospel-preaching does not occur within the church building or in the pews but through the front door of people’s homes, at work-on-the-job and in the day-to-day of everyday life.

I have been feeling dusty and a little dry from a month of not being able to freely witness and preach the Gospel. The Philippines will be like the rain.
I welcome the rain.
I’ll be hitting the streets preaching the Gospel. Let it rain. Let it pour!
