I wanted to write and let you know about some things that are happening in my life. I have been going to school to become a nurse at Liberty University. I have always wanted to use my heart to become a nurse to serve. I do not know if it’s God’s calling for me to be a long-term missionary, but God has been tugging on my heart to join a mission group this summer. God lead me to this amazing mission trip opportunity.

I have wanted to go on a mission trip for years now but God shut the door each mission I was interested in the past. It was not until recently that I felt called to try and go on a mission trip. I know from my experience working at camp is going to help be prepare me for missions. I think that was Gods plan all along. I need to grow in my faith to make sure I was best acquitted for international missions.

I have been working on a summer camp for the past three summers and I had an amazing time. I grow in so many ways! I learned more to lean on God and how to share the gospel with people who are in different stages of life. I made friends at camp that I will cherish for the rest of my life. After this past summer I felt God touch my heart that I can not be comfortable in one stage of life. Even though camp is awesome and for His glory I can not stay in my comfort. God called me to camp for a season and I needed to find out Gods next season for me.

I needed to figure out what exactly was out of my comfort zone. I figured that God wanted me to apply for a leader position at the camp or go on a mission trip. Both I know I would love and grow in my relationship with God. Also had was so happy to know that both I would be able to show love to others. I prayed for a couple of weeks and decided to apply to 3 different mission trips. The one I got emailed back was world race and I became so excited. I felt God give me peace with this mission and realized this was Gods next season for me.

I was lead specifically to the Philippines trip because of the way I able to serve. I want to be able to be the voice to the voiceless and care for the people the most in need. I see the people that are most in need are the one who can not defend nor take care of themselves. In the Philippines I will be able to have the privilege to come alongside Kid’s International Ministry. They build relationships with kids, assist with the daily distribution of food and medicine, serve in the birthing clinic, assist with disaster relief work, and help identify people who need medical care. Most importantly they shine Jesus and share the gospel to everyone.

I hope this information shows you a little bit more of who I am and why I am called to so this mission. Thank you for reading and would greatly appreciate your prayer for Manila, Philippines.
