“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourself.” – Phillipians 2:3
I was raised up as Squad Leader because I’m Hunter. Hunter loves God with all his heart, he wants nothing but the best for others, and he will always drop his stuff for his loved ones.
But I have not been Hunter since I was raised up as Squad Leader.
I would probably call myself Charles (nothing against the Charles’ in the world). Charles is important, he is above others, he has freedom that others don’t and he makes sure that they know it, and of course Charles is selfish.
Last month Charles really took over who Hunter was.
Charles started the month with making excuses (Hunter owns up to his crap) so he wouldn’t have to go do things he doesn’t want to do. Charles continued on making himself seem important by making every one of his responsibilities a #1 priority over everything else. Charles also would make sure that the “important” things he was doing wouldn’t get comments on it from others if they didn’t like it.
Charles was a total douche.
Charles didn’t go to God, Charles didn’t love the team he was with, Charles didn’t do anything.
He ruined everything.
Charles didn’t leave until others asked where Hunter went. Charles didn’t realize how much people cared for Hunter and didn’t expect them to want Hunter back. Once Charles was confronted by others he finally left.
Hunter came back and he remembered why he accepted to be a raised up Squad Leader.
He accepted because Hunter loves God with all his heart and will always trust in Him.
He accepted because Hunter wants nothing but the best for the squad.
He accepted because Hunter will always drop his stuff for this squad.
Hunter is Hunter and no one else.
