Our first month in the Philippines is MANISTRY which means all the guys from our squad come together. So far it all has been a blessing I’m getting to build deeper relationships with all the guys. We are staying in an orphanage with about 15 Fillapino boys from the age 12-18. These boys are amazing hearing there stories of coming off the street were they abused, were huffing glue, smoking weed, drinking some did all these from the young age of 6. They would tell us how they survived hanging with bigger kids learning how to steal and break in to places and each one day then one day all the sudden I knew I needed to stop or seek help. Obviously this is the Holy Spirit speaking to them to turn away from the path they are on it’s never too late or your never in too deep. Recently when we went to a grocery store to pick up some supplies and a bunch of street boys surrounded us begging for money I could see one holding a bag of glue he probably was using to huff and an officer walked over he quickly hid the glue and the boys were so nervous afraid what the officer might do. These boys have broke my heart and I love them so much I pray the lord can use me to help better them. The lord so far has been using our team to help build the orphanage a basketball court I can see the excitement in the boys eyes as the watch is mix and lay the concrete. In the Philippines basketball is huge by far everyone’s favorite sport. Some afternoons after ministry we go to a basketball court and play with all the kids there they all look up to us white Americans so much I plan to really use that for good! Please pray for me and my team that the we may hear the lord and follow his word to bring the kingdom of God that much closer to the Philippines ????
