A quick update,
On December 23rd we picked up Annalise from her "guardian" and we begin the process of adoption. We met with a lawyer and found out the process for adoption. It will take six months for the process to finish. There are numerous things that have to be finalized. During this time the birth mother can petition the court for the return of her baby. We are trusting God in this.
If you read all the blogs you know that we said we needed around $7000 for the adoption. Charlotte and I both wrote blogs that Hugh posted on this blog, reported on several Facebook Friends, I then suggested to Hugh that we put it on a internet site that allows you to raise money from around the world. We used Hopemob and over the 5 days we raised over $7000. Praise The Lord!
This is a great big thank you to God and to each one of you that prayed, gave, and posted this story. We love you and thank God for each of you.
Annalise got to spend Christmas with us this year and with all the children being grown, it was amazing how excited each person was to meet her. As adults we sometimes forget the joy and excitement that young children add to Christmas.
During our Christmas Eve service God spoke to me and reminded me of the times in the Bible, Moses and Jesus, where the world tries to get rid of God's children because of the power of a child that is raised to love and serve God. Our world is afraid of children that learn of the power of our God. He reminded me of the privilege and responsibility we have in raising our children in this way.
Love you and thank you for your prayers.
