Lately I've realized that I have never lived my life for Christ as much as I am now. A life that every day I am reading my bible to prepare for the spiritual battle I am up against while I head out for ministry. As I think back on my life in America, I realize that I didn't read my Bible every morning. Most of the time it was just a regular day, probably going to do some work with my dad and then whatever else might come up that day. I wasn't living in a mindset that "everything I do is to the glory of God."
So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31 NET)
God had me in America to be a missionary, it wasn't just the place I was living. I was there for a purpose. As I look back on friends who have come back from mission trips I hear their amazing stories of healing and people coming to Christ and it is amazing. But it breaks my heart that we are not experiencing the same results in America.
America is our mission field.
America is just as desperate for God as the people in rest of the world.
America needs, hurts and longs for a comforter and healer.
As I look at my life here; how I live each day and how I am always looking for an opportunity to share God with someone. I am always looking for someone to pray for, I am searching for people with health problems, I am listening to God's voice and I am sharing the love of Christ. I am not afraid to approach people, I am not afraid to get out of my comfort zone, I am not afraid to be vulnerable.
This is what life should look like for every Christian everywhere.
The reason missionaries come back with such a passion and fire for God is because everything they do is for the glory of God.
How are you acting in America?
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes… (Romans 1:16 NASB)
Are you ashamed of the gospel?
We get caught up in our routine and miss out on glorifying God in everything that we do.
We lose our passion.
Often times it just takes one person to step out in faith, step out as a leader, and others will follow their lead.
God is ready to move. God is ready to use you. God has given you power. God has equipped you to heal the sick. God is speaking to you. God is waiting on you to start listening.
What are you going to do about it? Are you going to keep following suit or are you going to step out? Are you going to start a revolution?
Be radical.
