"Those who pray write history, those who don't pray read history."

The past couple of days have been mind blowing.  Have I said that recently?  As I follow this journey of Christ with all my heart, I never know what to expect.  As questions arise, answers are provided.  As I encounter problems, they are solved.  Whenever I need something, it is provided.  Some of you might say that this is coincidence, but I know that it is because I pray and my God answers the prayers.  These are just a few of His promises in prayer.

Matthew 21:22 – "…whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
Jeremiah 33:3 – "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things…"
John 14:14 – "If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."

As my team embarks on this year of serving, we have already seen radical things happen.  I will share a few things with you.

This is Marco Tuleo.  He runs a pharmacy that runs to help people who are unable to purchase medicine for themselves.  Whenever we arrived at his pharmacy to paint it for him, Miss Maureen said he wants to pray for you, he has an amazing gift of prophecy.  What we didn't know is that he is also a healer.  He shared some stories of healing done right in his pharmacy.

He was sharing with us about different times when men have come in that didn't have an arm below the elbow.  He said that he prayed for them in Jesus name he watched the arm grow.  He has prayed for people, in Jesus name, and watched legs grow instantly from the knee.  He has seen a man who was missing an eye and as he prayed for them an eye appeared.  Is your mind blown yet?  Do you have enough faith to believe that Jesus can provide this radical healing?

As we stood in a circle, he began to show us how to heal people.  He said its simple, have faith and say, "In Jesus name you are healed."  Its that simple, one sentence.  He was showing us that some of our arms and legs were uneven, one was longer than the other.  I watched my friend Alys' left arm grow to the length of her right arm.  Are you getting this?  I will repeat it for you, her left arm grew to the length of her right arm.  Then he measured her legs and her right leg was longer, so he prayed, in Jesus name, and her left leg grew to the size of her right.

He made it clear… he didn't do it… it wasn't his power.  Jesus is the one that heals the sick, and as a Christian we have the same power that he has.  So he began to use other people from the group to heal members of the team.  This is where it gets good.

As most of you know, or some of you might not, I have terrible knees.  After snowboarding and wakeboarding they have just seen better days.  So I told him that after I play sports or run that I can't walk normally cause my knees just ache.  So he got my friend Casey and told her to pray for my knees.  She said, "In Jesus name I declare that your knees are healed."  I believed with all my heart that they would be healed and they were.

As we walked across the town yesterday for about five hours I finally realized it.  I was like Casey, my knees don't hurt at all.  Normally after walking for that long they would be stiff and very sore but not anymore.  I was healed.  You might not have believed earlier that healing was real, but do you believe that I was healed?  Because I was, I am not going to lie to you!  My God is powerful and he hears our prayers.

As we were walking down the street yesterday we met this little old lady.  She asked us to pray for her back and shoulder to be healed.  As we were about to pray for her another lady walked up and asked us to pray for her too!  People here believe in the supernatural power of Jesus name, and it is encouraging to see their faith.

They have so little, but their faith is so much stronger.

It has only been six days on The World Race and I am already experiencing a radical Christianity that I have never experienced before.  I pray that as you read my stories here in Guatemala that you realize God is the same here as he is in America.  You just have to have faith.  If you do everything to the glory of God, he will answer your prayers.

As Maureen was sharing part of her testimony, she told us of a time whenever she was praying and was taken up to heaven.  She described it as a dream, but it was more clear that real life.  It was about an hour long story but I just want to capture this one part.  She shared about Jesus taking her into a room, a huge library.  Like one you would see on movies with the ladders all around.  She said that Jesus pulled a book down and brought it to the table were the Father was sitting.

The Father said, "Lets answer some of the prayers for the servant who has given her all in My name."  She said that every single prayer that she had ever prayed was written in the book and as they were going through them they would get excited.  She described them as "pending prayers."

As they read through the book the angels and Jesus would say, "Oh, lets answer this one…. ohhh! but what about this one?  Can we answer this one?"  She said that he even had prayers that she didn't even pray out loud, but ones that she just thought to herself.  She spoke of a time when she was in the bathroom just wishing that she could have some nice perfume.

The Father said, "Lets answer this prayer."  So he commanded his angels, "Go and find someone who will provide this perfume for her."

As he would go through the book of prayers he would say, "Go find someone to provide this for her."

She said one prayer was that the orphanage would start getting $100,000 donations.  Seems like an outrageous prayer right?  Not for God. He provided her with these donations and her prayers were answered.

What an amazing time it has been here already.  Aren't you tired of reading history and ready to write some?
