During the last few years of my life I’ve become more and more amazed at the similarities people possess. For instance, since coming home from the World Race people seem to ask me the exact same question: what was your favorite country? It has happened so many times that I’m convinced everyone and their mother got together and decided to ask me this one question. It’s funny. And I laugh when I read World Race blog titles, because so many of them are the same. And it makes me happy. It doesn’t matter which squad you were/are on or which countries you traveled to, because I believe these blog titles will stand the test of time…
(in no particular order):
  • You know you’re on the World Race when…
  • This is Africa / T.I.A.
  • Anything to do with the word “mzungu”
  • Where in the world is  (insert your name here)?
  • Something to do with team changes
  • Day 13,265 :: insert name here
  • Headless chickens, dirty feet and a Snickers candy bar (or any assortment of unrelated ideas)
  • Something to do with freedom / kingdom / identity / inheritance (often followed by many !!! if written by an excited female)
  • Something to do with free write / random thoughts / late night ramblings
  • [insert country name] cribs video / real world video
  • Happy mother’s day, mom! (or dad, or happy birthday someone)
  • Something about needing help to raise money for a teammate
  • Something addressing future squads (ATTENTION FUTURE SQUADS: WHAT YOU SHOULD NEVER EVER PACK)
  • Something about the worst / weirdest travel day ever
  • Something about being wrecked / ruined
and, of course,
  • the “I’m home. Now what?” blog titles.
…did I miss any?
