Like promised….here is the blog that will reveal what my life will look like after the World Race (WR).
Before the WR started the Lord gave me a dream that only He could give me. A dream and vision to one day own my own coffee shop. Centered around missions.
Before launch in July, I finished a book called Circle Maker by Mark Batterson. Mark talked a lot about circling (praying for) the God sized dreams in your heart because they are a gift from the Lord. When we pray big the Lord will bless in big ways.
I wrote this dream in my journal and prayed…”Lord, if this is what you want me to do, lead me there.”
I was off on the WR with this dream and passion in my heart. Month after month I felt an increase to constantly go to coffee shops, taste international coffee, to see the things I liked in a shop and things I didn’t like.
I asked the Lord one day in Malaysia, “Abba, what am I good at?”….His response….”Relationships.” I got this passion stirring in my heart for people in my generation. People who don’t know what it looks like to fight for people. People who don’t know what unconditional love looks like or grace. There are people in the world that don’t know the true love and grace of the Father. Not only did the Lord give me a passion about that, He put specifically Cincinnati on my heart (whether I heard Him right, we will find out in the near future). So…I am on the Race, with this new found passion to tell people how deeply loved they are by their Heavenly Father, and to build lasting relationships with them. Owning a coffee shop is a business, which I have no experience in, But I am trusting the Father to equip me for this Kingdom Calling.
Month 7 debrief was a HUGE debrief for me. During this specific time is where our squad mentor talked to us about going home and what life after the WR looks like. There are multiple opportunities through AIM (Adventures in Missions) to continue to follow the Kingdom Calling the Lord has you on.
The Fellowship is one of those programs. This program is geared toward business and entrepreneurship and AIM launching you into more of your specific Kingdom Calling. The Lord nudged me to take an interview. In the Dominican Republic is where I had an interview. In this same country is where I got accepted to the program!!!
The Fellowship is a launching pad to understand more about business, leadership, logistics, hiring people, and finance. They will be able to equip me with the skills that I need in order to run a business. The Fellowship ties into the visions and dreams the Father has given me about the coffee shop.
I come home in less than a month and I will be in Cincinnati for 3.5-4 months before I move to Gainsvillle, GA in September for this 8 month program.
Like the World Race, I have to fundraise! The total amount that I need to fundraise is, $12,000. I love my supporters and I am looking for more people to partner with me in this Kingdom Calling. I would love for you to prayerfully consider monthly supporting me, $25, $50, $100 or any other amount. One time donations are welcomed as well!
There are three ways to donate:
1. You can donate on my blog page(hopebowman.theworldrace.org) by clicking the “support me!” Tab and filling the instructions. You can donate once or you can sign up for monthly donations.
