In case you don’t want to read the story, just take a look at the pictures below to get a summary of my time so far in Moldova.

We took a train from Romania to Chisinau, the capitol of Moldova. It’s a small country situated between Romania and Ukraine in Eastern Europe.

Moldova sort of reminds me of West Texas. There are big skies, nice people, and a lot of land.

We are eating all kinds of Moldovan specialties like this one called Mamaliga.

We got to participate in a 4 day camp for kids at a local school. Here’s game time

We also got to help some elderly folks with their gardens and wood chopping. See the couple in the back? How cute!

Everyone here uses outhouses. Some are pretty nice with tiled surfaces. Some are pretty primitive. Here’s the one at the elderly couple’s house.

First Lyndsay raked the leaves.

Then Beth piled the leaves.

Taniuska got a sweet picture in the sunset today which pretty much sums up my week in Moldova-spectacular!
