During the months of April and may KSquad headed to Southern Africa. Let me just say that it was so needed. Coming out of India and going into that beautiful land was exactly what I needed, the Lord knew it before I even left the States. Africa was full of playing with children, praying for strangers, and breath taking sights.

We headed to Swaziland first, a small country within the borders of South Africa. We lived in the a small city of Manzini where we taught English at a Christian Care Point and singing and dancing at recess time. There were beautiful rolling hills that reminded me of home and many trees to hammock in. Leaving plenty of time to lay and admire the beauty my Father has created for us.

We next headed to Durban, South Africa for squad debrief. That week was filled with swimming, laying on the beach, attending a soccer game, laughing, crying, and experiencing the third round of team changes; I’m now on an all girls team deemed team Summer Breeze.

The new team headed to Botswana. We lived on the Okavango Delta, a World Heritage Site, in northern Botswana. The small village of Seronga was right on the Delta, and when I say on I mean we heard hippos outside of our tent talking and walking around all night. This was the month that we were out in the middle of nowhere; the grocery store was two and a half hours away. We worked with a Christian preschool and visited houses around the village to share the Gospel.

Africa was beautiful. Full of Love. Full of Wonder.
