This past February and March, the Lord brought our Squad to Nepal and India, how crazy right?! Two parts of the world I never thought I’d get to visit. But God always takes me where he wants me to go.
In Nepal we had an amazing ministry contact, named Rueben, that brought such a joy to our team. We worked on the construction of an orphanage for a week and a half and then hiked four hours into the southeastern Himalayas to do construction on a school. Electricity and hot showers were so sparse but it was absolutely beautiful. We took river showers, played with goats, and had plenty of time to take in the beauty of this earth. My heart hurts so bad that Nepal, and our new friends there, are experiencing such tragedy.
In India we worked at a specials needs orphanage in the city. Each day we had one on one time with a specific child and spent time with various other kids and even put on our own Vacation Bible School with just about zero supplies!
Both months presented triumphs and challenges and I’m so glad I got the privilege to serve in both countries.
