Happy Thai New Year!! Here is a video my teammate for this month, Di, has posted regarding the Thai New Year (aka Songkran). The hottest day of the year, April 13th, is considered the New Year. To celebrate, the entire nation has a water fight. This is not an exaggeration at all. Literally, the entire nation shuts down and breaks out in a water fight. There is normal water, ice water, died water, baby powder, and paste involved in the fight. Some cities the fight lasts for over a week. Here in Phuket it lasts for about two days.
