Wow. I don’t even know where to begin. This month I have been in Nepal, and it’s the first time the World Race has sent a squad here. It has been really exciting to come to a new co
untry, but there have also been several challenges.
I think that is why I don’t know what to say. God has revealed so much to me this month about myself; ways to be even more dependent on Him. I had come a long way on my race, but of course God always has more to teach us. So this has been a month of firsts for me, and it has been hard but so rewarding. I traveled alone this month to each team’s ministry location and saw the Lord provide in amazing ways. I have had to be more bold and direct in conversations with racers and contacts than I have ever been with anyone. I am tapping into giftings God has given me that I have never been able to use before. I find myself balancing more than I ever thought possible, but it’s because I am finally allowing God to do most of the work.

Then I went on a motorcycle to visit team Fugee, where I moved again with them about 1hr away to Nijgadh. Their team’s ministry was manual labor, but for the few days I was with them they did not have to work…thanks God! But really it gave me so much more time and space to just pour into them and build them up.

Currently I am back in Kathmandu visiting team Rapha. They are working with a ministry called Asha Nepal where they rescue women and children from brothels in Bombay, India. For those of you that don’t know, I have a huge heart for women who have been caught up in sex trafficking, and to be able to be here for just a few days has been such a blessing. I have loved being with the team, and also just living with these women and children who have such incredible stories of redemption.

Soon the squad will reunite and our time in Nepal will be over. We are heading to Romania next, and we will go straight into debrief and then the teams will go to their ministry sites. I’m sorry I have not been able to update as often this month (internet has been hard to find!), but hopefully I can put up a few more blogs soon. Thank you for your continued prayers and support though. I definitely needed it this past month!
