I’m taking advantage of this lovely Texas “snow day” to catch up on life outside of the classroom. Since I started student teaching in January, I haven’t had a lot of time to focus on things concerning the World Race–or really anything, for that matter. There are times where I have felt overworked and underpaid, but I wouldn’t trade this learning opportunity for anything in the world right now.
For those of you who are not native Texans, when we say “it snowed!” what we really mean is that there’s no school and there’s white stuff covering the ground (normally ice) ๐
In 4 months, I will be headed to India for my first stop on the World Race. We found out about a month ago that they pushed our launch date up to June 27th or 28th (depending on our roles during the race) so this means that my fundraising goals have been pushed forward a little.
Fundraising Update: I have raised $6,445 out of $16,266!
As of right now, I have officially met my first goal of $3,500 and am now working on raising the second goal of $7,500. Seeing that I only have about $1,000 to raise to reach this goal, I am confident that this can be accomplished!
If you would like to help me reach this goal, I have prepared a way through the
Pick A Number Challenge
<<Here’s how this challenge works>>
Below is at 10×10 table that contains the numbers 1-100.
1. Choose a number (or numbers)
ex: 5
2. Whatever number/s you have chosen is the amount you are willing to donate
ex: I picked 5, so I will give $5
3. Click a number on the board and it will take you directly to my Support Me! page. All you have to do from here is include the amount you are giving and complete your card information.
4. Comment below the blog and specify what number/s that you have chosen so I can mark them off. ๐
If you choose more than one number (say, 6 and 4) click one of those numbers, but include the total amount ($10).
Donations are tax deductible! ๐
