Hey guys! I wanted to post my support letter so that everyone gets the chance to read it! I think it will help you understand what I’m doing and why I’m doing it. It has been updated to show the change in my route! When I first started this process my European countries were Serbia, Kosovo, and Romania, now they are the Balkans, Greece, and Romania! I am So excited about this change!

Dear friends and family,
I am so excited to share with you the next step on my life journey. I have recently been accepted to go on a missions trip called the World Race. The World Race is a branch of Adventures in Missions, an organization that has placed over 100,000 missionaries on the field since 1989. The World Race is one of their trips, specifically for young adults, to travel to 11 countries in 11 months. I leave January 2016 to minister in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Bolivia, Chile, The Balkans, Greece, Romania, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Rwanda. While in each of these countries, my team will partner with local churches and ministries to serve in areas of need. Some of these areas may be church planting, working in orphanages, ministering to women and children in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and ministering to the least of these.
I am beyond excited to walk through this door, which I know without a shadow of a doubt the Lord has opened for me. I have felt the call to missions for several years now, especially for working with children on the mission field. I put this calling off for a long time. I felt as if I needed to have my life completely figured out before I could even think about missions work. It’s so funny how God rearranges our plans to fit His plan for us. He closes doors that need to be closed and He opens brand new doors in their place that are more incredible than we could ever have imagined. He has shown me over the past several months that my teaching career will always be here and my student loans will be here for me to tackle as soon as I return. The opportunity to travel the world and pour into the lives of those desperate for the love of Jesus and His grace is HERE and NOW! I must follow His lead and go where He is calling me in this moment.
To say that this trip will stretch me in ways I never thought I could stretch is an understatement; it already has. If you had told me two years ago that I was going to have to live out of a backpack for 11 months, I would have laughed in your face. Now, I’m excited for the opportunity to live amongst the lowest of the social classes in each country I visit. I desire to fulfill the great commission. To feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, and clothe the naked, both physically and spiritually will be my greatest joy. I want to be a light in this dark world. And lastly, I’m excited to see what God does in and through me on this trip.
To make this trip a reality, I need two things. First, I need prayer. I am asking you to consider becoming part of my prayer team. I know that the road ahead isn’t easy, so I want to surround myself with the prayers of my friends and family. The second thing I need is financial support. I must raise $16,962 to make this dream a reality. This cost covers training, transportation, lodging, food, insurance, and other travel necessities. I know that this is a large amount of money to most of you. Trust me, it is overwhelming to me as well, but I know that the God that called me on this journey is faithful to provide. “Where there is vision, there is provision.” If you feel called to give, I am including a donation card with this letter.
