I am currently sitting in a ‘mall’ in Brasov, Romania with
my teammate Jen. We are borrowing
internet from something called ‘jurassickidsland’ which is funny in itself. We have been catching up with family, eating
crepes filled with mystery foods, and just relaxing. It’s been just what I’ve needed to round out
month two.
We arrived here in Brasov last night along with 3 other
world race squads (h, I and k).
Basically that means there are approximately 200 world racers all in one
location- its nuts. We are all staying
in the same campground which is pretty darn fun. There are also a good many world race ‘alumni’
(people who have already done the world race) who have made the trip to Brasov
as well.
The reason we are all here is for something called The
Awakening. I’m not exactly sure what all
it entails, except that it is a worship conference. This would probably be a good time for me to
stop calling it a conference since it is nothing like what the word conference conjures
up in my mind. All I can tell you about
it thus far is that I am excited about this time of relaxation, and sharing,
and learning.
A few things y’all can be praying for would be warmth at
night…it gets down to 35 degrees or so at and we are sleeping in tents. I think its kinda fun to get all mummied-up
in my sleeping bag and try to stay warm but I can see how some people don’t share
that sentiment. Also just pray for
people to stay healthy.
Oh yeah and as for next month, we are no longer heading to
Egypt. Instead this month will be
something we call ATL (ask the Lord)…which basically just means we ask the Lord
through prayer to tell us where we should spend the next month. So far we have no clue but it sure is
exciting trying to figure it out! I’ll
keep ya posted as to where we’re headed.
Love to you all!
