Today marks only four months until I launch with the rest of our N squad on the most exciting adventure that I could imagine! I am extremely humbled by all those that have so generously supported me throughout this process! It is with great excitement that I get to announce that some wonderful friends have decided they feel lead to match all of my donations! I am currently only $475 away from meeting my July financial deadline of $5,000 and only $3,956 away from being 50% funded! Once I get to this 50% mark of my fundraising, these amazing friends will match the remaining 50% to propel me to the mark of being fully funded! I cannot tell you how excited I am to share in this expedition with all of those who have partnered with me by being your hands and feet in the field!
I have also had some people ask of other ways in which they could share in support outside of just financial donations. While prior to a few weeks ago my answer has always been through prayer. A good friend of mine and a former participant within Adventures in Missions recommended I share a wish list of items in which I am currently looking to purchase for this exciting journey! While I fortunately have the vast majority of my gear that I acquired prior to spending last June in Botswana, there are still a few things that would help me in this journey.
1) GoPro: This would be an awesome tool in my ministry in which I could share with others the incredible experiences that we will encounter!
2) A small easily packable 2-person tent: We are recommended to use a two person tent because in most countries throughout the trip our tent will also be our entire living quarters (this includes our closet).
3) Headlamp: This is one of the most vital tools that in turn allows us to perform our tasks beyond the hours of daylight.
This is just a short list of gear in which would be extremely helpful during my tenure on the field. Thank you for all of the wonderful support in which you have graced me with, and I cannot express the excitement I have for this incredible journey!
