We finished our time in Asia and it is bittersweet.

We spent 5 months in India, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. Sometimes I wanted to hold up the deuces sign and say, “see yah Asi” but hey there were some fond memories of Asia too.

Goodbye mountains, beaches, and waterfalls.
Goodbye Asian Malls -thank you for giving me a taste of America.
Goodbye Chai Tea -4:00 tea time will forever be my favorite part of the day.
Goodbye beautiful rainy days.
Goodbye rooftops.
Goodbye night markets.
Goodbye affordable healthcare.
Goodbye crazy wildlife like monkeys and elephants and baby goats.
Goodbye monks and seeing temples on every corner.
Goodbye Tuk Tuks and cheap transportation.
Goodbye Asian hospitality.
Goodbye Ministry hosts.
Goodbye all of the people who treated us like family and loved us so well.

These things will be missed.

But….

See yah Cambodian heat.
See yah no garbage cans and the smell of burning trash.
See yah squatty potties.
See yah having to take our shoes off before we enter any room.
See yah naked babies.
See yah always having to have toilet paper in my pocket.
See yah 22 hour bus rides with no bathroom.
See yah freakishly large bugs that we had to kill on the reg.
See yah stair steps that are never even or large enough for the most average foot size.
See yah no shower curtains so that whole bathroom showers when you shower.
See yah strangers who take selfies with us because we stick out in any crowd.
See yah people peeing in public.
See yah hospitals. I will not be paying a monthly visit.
See yah annoying flies. Why must you be everywhere?
See yah trips to the ATM after they lied to you about taking credit card.

Oh and there are some things I should apologize for:
I’m sorry for all the times I threw my toilet paper in a bush.
I’m sorry for all the times I acted like I knew what you were saying to me, when I really had no clue.
I’m sorry for all the times I named you after the clothes you were wearing because I couldn’t pronounce your name. (i’m sorry to: Addidas, Thailand, and Lemon Squeeze)
I’m sorry for all the times I didn’t want to eat rice for the 3rd meal that day.
I’m sorry for all the times I never jumped on the “condensed milk” bandwagon.
I’m sorry for all the times we hung up our underwear EVERYWHERE to dry.
I’m sorry for all the times I didn’t know how to pay in your currency – Indian rupee, Nepali rupee, Vietnamese dong, Cambodia reil, and Thai bot. But hey thanks for your integrity because you really could’ve taken advantage of me.

Now we are in Tirana, Albania #europelyfe #newcontinentnewme
