Disclaimer: I’m not complaining. I’m just saying.

This month, this is how we to do our laundry. For the sake of the example, let’s say we are washing our “delicates.”

  1. Be warned not to wash our “delicates” and hang them outside to dry or else bugs will lay eggs in them. Excellent.
  2. Find a bucket.
  3. Walk down the hall and fill up 1 water kettle with water.
  4. Walk back to your room and plug it into the wall to heat.
  5. Wait.
  6. Once heated, pour water into the bucket.
  7. Repeat steps 3-6.
  8. Repeat steps 3-6
  9. Repeat steps 3-6
  10. If you are Joanna, repeat steps 3-6 for the 5th time.
  11. Pour laundry detergent into the bucket.
  12. Drop your delicates into the water.
  13. Destroy an iron hanger into an extendo-hand to stir the laundry.
  14. Wait and enjoy the color show that is the water changing to a darkish-brown.
  15. Wait if you would like your clothes to be cleaner. However, this is a myth and has not be scientifically proven.
  16. Walk down the hall and take out one item at a time and ring out in the sink.
  17. Repeat step 16 as many times as there are items.
  18. Rinse out the bucket.
  19. Pour room temperature water into the bucket.
  20. Put “delicate” items into the bucket to rinse.
  21. Take out one item at a time and rinse it in the sink.
  22. Ring out item and place in a pile.
  23. Repeat step 22 as many times as there are items.
  24. Walk back to your room and place each item on a hanging rack in your bathroom.
  25. Wait 24 hours as the dry.
  26. Repeat steps 2-26 when you want to do another load.

Enjoy your washing machines and the dry cleaners people. We know we certainly will come November 20th.
