Many of you have already heard, but for most people, this is breaking news!! I am beyond excited to announce that I will be heading out on a trip of a lifetime in January. I am part of the January 2016 World Race Fusion team. We will begin our travels in Southeast Asia, continue on to Eastern Europe, and wrap up the year in Southern Africa.
While it is true, the World Race will surely be amazing, I feel the need to clarify that it is most definitely not the Amazing Race. Here are a few differences:
Amazing Race = TV Reality show
World Race = 11 month long mission trip
Amazing Race = teams of 2 in competition against other teams for prizes
World Race = teams of 6-7 working together to bring hope to God’s people
Amazing Race = Entertainment
World Race = Life altering
Currently, our route will be…
Thailand –> Cambodia –> Vietnam –> Indonesia –> Latvia –> Ukraine –> Romania –> Bosnia –> Botswana –> South Africa –> Swaziland
While it’s still a little surreal at this point, the daunting $16k figure above is all too real. I’ve got some serious ground to cover, in a very short amount of time, and I need YOUR help!! Here’s what you can do:
