I’m just gonna be real with you all. Preparing for a year abroad means having a lot of things demanding your time.

Time with family
Time in prayer for those near and far who are helping make this happen
Time spent creating, planning for, and executing fundraisers
Time meeting, seeking out and connecting with potential partners
Time to decide what to take, and acquire anything that’s missing
Time at work, honoring previous commitments
Time in the Word, finding rest in His presence
Time meeting with the team I’ll work with in Thailand

It’s a daily struggle to figure out just what is priority, while trying (and failing) to fit all of the above in each and every day.

Although I’ve had an unexpected sense of peace over the whole process of getting to Thailand, knowing that God would make a way, I have still found myself getting stressed in the day-to day to-do list.

This was until God spoke to me, and I heard his message loud and clear.

One night I received a particularly shocking donation of $419. I just stared at my screen trying to make sense of this. “Was this an accident?” “Maybe it was a mis-key…?”

Suddenly I noticed something odd. The donation came through at precisely 4:19 pm. Coincidence? “Maybe it’s God trying to speak to you” says my donor.

Has to be, but how?

So I took my question to the ever-reliable Google. “Chapter 4, verse 19”

The only verse in the results was Philippians 4:19

“And my God will provide for all of your needs
through His glorious riches in Jesus Christ”

Speechless, I just stared at my screen. “Alright, God, I hear ya.” Suddenly I knew He had it all figured out.

What am I worrying about? He’s got a plan. He provides. He loves me too much to set me up for failure.
