It’s been a while, I know, but after being home for seven months, I have some exciting news!
I’m excited to announce that for the next nine months I will be Squad leading gap year!!
Beginning this August, I am headed to Albania, the Philippines, and South Africa with F Squad for three months in each country.
F Squad is an amazing group of 49 incredible, sacrificial, and inspiring young adults that have decided to leave the comforts of the United States in order to serve the Lord in these countries! I had the privilege of meeting them at AIM headquarters in Gainesville, Georgia for ten days of training camp a week ago and their passion and excitement blew me away. They love God and want to see his kingdom come on earth, and that is exactly what this next year is going to be about.
As I was praying for them, the Lord showed me a verse in John 4:38 that says “I sent you to reap what you did not work for; others have labored and you have entered into their labor.”
Wow, how cool is that. Not only do I get to enter into a season of these individual’s lives that I haven’t yet “worked for,” but as a squad we also get to enter these countries and join where others are already involved in Kingdom work. We aren’t going to these countries on our own, but rather to join in where the Holy Spirit is already working. We get to partner with existing ministries and build up what they have, working to build the kingdom where the Holy Spirit leads us.
I honestly am so privileged to be a part of this squad’s journey and can’t wait to see what’s in store for them. It’s going to be so good because God is in it and has called each of us with a purpose.
