I have never been the person to rush to the phone when it is ringing. I will take my time and wait . . . and if no else answers it after a while I will sprint to the phone to get it in time. However sometimes I will wait to long and I will miss the call.
This last week at training camp I heard God giving me a call. Late into the week we had a breakout session where I listened to a video/photo presentation by John Frank Diegeuze. If you are familiar with me then you will know that I love to make movies with my friends. This has always been something that I did just for the fun of it, but after listening to the presentation I realized that I could use this passion as a tool to further Gods Kingdom. John Frank explained how he would create short videos to tell the story of the local ministry he was working with during his missions trip, to help raise awareness and support. His talk sank deep into my heart and stirred up an excitement to do the same. I feel that God is calling me and I don’t want to miss the call. I want to rush to answer his call right away!
Guys, I want to use video and photography to help the Kingdom of God. But first to do this I need the right equipment: a camera, a lens, a mounted mic and a bag. I have done some extensive research with my Mom and we have found the right camera which is a good quality but is not too expensive. We ended up deciding on the Canon Rebel T5i.
After adding up all the expenses I found out that to make this dream a reality I would need to raise $1,500. I believe that God is supporting me in this decision and will help me raise the financial support I need. I wanted to share this need with you guys and encourage you to support me if you feel called to do so.
I want to remind and reassure you that I am a missionary first. I would love so much to engage in my ministry through video however something I heard in the presentation was #6n1. Meaning spend six days being a missionary then 1 day being a videographer/photographer. I have a need and I wanted to put it out there to provide room for God to work and equip me.
Thank you so much for reading this blog. And thank you again so much for those of you who have already contributed to sending me on my trip whether that was through prayer or financial support.
If you wish to support me then this would be a personal check made out to Henry Inglesby, sent to PO Box 23 Antelope, OR 97001.
