Never underestimate why you are in a particular place, at a particular time, doing a particular thing and surrounded by particular people. It may seem like a routine life to you, but they are pieces of your life puzzle that only God can see.
One of the hardest things is saying goodbye.
Over the past 10 months I’ve been a part of a wonderful organization. Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP) is a company that puts its members and employees first.
Words cannot express the love and care that my boss and coworkers has shown me. But I will do my best…
August 16th is my last day at RMHP, which is in 12 working days. This pass month has been very hard because I fell in love with the RMHP family. Today my boss and co-workers walk in my office and handed me a card. I told them that I didn't want to read it in front of them because I would start crying. While opening the card a movie ticket fell out (I am a movie addict). So, my boss said just read this part then: This is "day one" of the "twelve days of Helene." Love your team.
And…..here…..comes….the…………..TEARS!
They all gave me a hug and lets just say there was no dry eye in the office. I am so bless to have them in my life. I cannot wait to see what the next 11 days will be like.
Thank you very much Monika, Carrieann, Sheri, Beth and Kate!
Day 1 (August 1, 2013)
Beautiful Homemade Card and a movie ticket

Day 2 (August 2, 2013)
I was surprised with a feast! There were strawberries, blueberries, grapes, raspberries, Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal (my all-time favorite cereal), orange juice and milk. We all sat around the table and had breakfast.
Beth, Monika and Carrieann.
Day 3 (August 5, 2013)
I had my all-time favorite food…….it use to be an addiction……but not anymore…..well……is it still an addiction if you can't stop eating it once you have it
? GUESS WHAT IT IS?
You got it, CAKE!!!!
My boss Monika made a butter cake with butter cream frosting from scratch. It was so rich and delicious. I think the twelve days of Helene should change to the 12 pounds of Helene, hehehe hehe.

Day 4 (August 6, 2013)
Oh MY WORD!! I am changing the name to the 12 days of TEARS!
I received a beautiful bouquet of red roses and a gift certificate to Juice Stop (one of the best smoothie place in town). My co-worker Carrieann took me to Juice Stop a few months back and I had the most unbelievable mango, strawberry, pineapple and peach smoothie. Thank you guys so much for the beautiful flowers and smoothie. There is no telling what is going to be next.

Day 4 (August 6, 2013)
WHITE CHOCOLATE!!!
Microsoft Outlook was not my friend today and almost brought me to tears. Outlook decided not to send my meeting requests, delete my meeting and then post the famous warning "Operation Failed". My co-workers came to my rescue and Sheri handed me TWO bags of white chocolate which put a huge smile on my face. I had one of the bags open before the picture was taken. Thank you Sheri, Beth, Monika and Carrieann!!

Day 6 (August 8, 2013)
There is nothing like a delicious Dream Cafe quiche, Florida's Natural orange juice (the best orange juice……..bias….me?……oh! its made in Florida…….you have to admit it is really good), and the best set off co- workers anyone can have. This morning we were able to have a delightful meal and some "Oh! I will never forget that" conversations.

Left to right: Sheri, Monika, Carrieann, Kate and Beth. (They don't know this but they are WLCH: Women who Love and Care with their Heart) Yep! I came up with that!
Day 7 (August 9, 2013)
Let me tell you, those fruit and veggie bouquets have nothing on this piece of art. I know, I know eat healthy, but if you know me my snacks are white chocolate, chips, hard candy and cookies. Yep! That’s me! Presenting a wonderful creation……Chips Bouquet. If you would like to place an order please contact WLCH…..best in the business…hehehe hehehe
! Thank you ladies!

Day 8 (August 12, 2013)
There is nothing like FRIED CHICKEN and CHEESECAKE! WLCH really pulled one on me. Y'all know my stomach! I love fried chicken….I was just sitting at my desk and saying to myself "I would love to have some fried chicken". Who would've known! I must say, I am spoiled rotten. WLCH you guys are AWESOME!!!

Day 9 (August 13, 2013)
I found this note in my Rocks and Roses vase this morning, from Sheri.

We have a recurring meeting which takes place on Tuesdays and I take the minutes. This meeting is known for (in my book) the meeting where you are guaranteed to have a certain type of food at least 2-3 times in a month.
Side note: There is no other meeting that I've gone to that has this certain type of food.
A few months back we had a new group of people who joined us and we had this certain type of food in the meeting. We had some left overs, so I wrapped some to take home and I had the honor of taking the remainder to the break room. Well, I could not resist and so I took some more and started eating it and who do you think came around the corner and caught me eating another piece of this certain type of food. Now mind you, remember I had some at the meeting, wrapped some up for home and now I am caught red handed with another big piece of…… I am sure you guessed it by now…yes…cake! Monika (my boss) decided to take the team on a tour and they all caught me. I am now known as the girl that "Love Cake"! Hence, the beautiful cupcakes that we had at the meeting as part of day 9. And I don't have to do the minutes for the meeting, I am one happy girl.

A note, locally made cupcakes and no meeting minutes! I think I hit the jackpot! Thank you!!!!
Day 10 (August 14, 2013)
Today was a very emotional day for me. I had to go to HR and do my exit interview and yes I cried. I really love working in this company and the friendships that I've made in Grand Junction are forever friendships. My co-workers are the best co-workers ever and I love them dearly. Today, I received a beautiful card and an ITunes gift card. In honor of WLCH, I decided to get the movie Steel Magnolias with my ITunes gift card. I absolutely love that movie and when these ladies get together it is like having a live viewing of Steel Magnolias.

Day 11 (August 15, 2013)
There is never a dull moment with these ladies; as you can see in the picture below. I wish you guys can hear the conversation that was going on while taking this picture. I could not stop laughing. I received a bag filled with goodies. If I was to get sick, it is going to wish it never hit this body; WLCH made sure I was covered. What these ladies don't know is how much their act of kindness and love mean to me; not in their gift given but in the time and effort they put into making my last days memorable. Thank you!

Day 12 (August 16, 2013)
Tears! Sadness! Laughter! Peace! Love! Are words that sums up the 12th day of Helene. I cannot believe today is my last day. I was cleaning out my desk and all of a sudden WLCH walked in and my desk was filled with all types of goodies, yellow roses, balloons, a cake, Greek yogurt covered raisins, Greek yogurt covered pretzels, strawberries, grapes and trail mix. The snack was for anyone who stopped by to said goodbye. Tears just poured down my face. After a series of hugs and different staff members coming in and saying goodbye, I broke. This was just the beginning.
WLCH, took me to Texas Roadhouse for lunch. I had one of my favorites….RIBS. We all sat around the table talking and laughing, when I realize this may be the last time we all sit together like this. I opened my present and it was a Max Lucado morning and evening devotional called Grace, I love this devotional. Ms. Kate made a "Helene version" of the Miss Me When I'm Gone song, so she passed it around and you guess it…no dry eyes. We got back to the office and I was able to share with them how much I love them and gave them a keepsake to remember me by, once again there was no dry eye in that office. It was an emotional yet rewarding day as I said tears, sadness, laughter, peace and love was the 12th day of Helene. Thank you so much for loving me.
It is time for me to turn the page to the next chapter of this big book called My Life and it is hard. The best thing about this book is I know who the author is and He is the best in the business. Father God, I can't wait to live in the next chapter, Love you to life.

Miss Me When I'm Gone (the "Helene" version)
I got my ticket for the long way 'round
Two cups of bottle whiskey green tea for the way
And I sure would like some sweet company
And I'm leaving tomorrow, what-do-ya say?
When I'm gone
When I'm gone
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
You're gonna miss me by my hair
You're gonna miss me everywhere, oh
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
I've got my ticket for the long way 'round
The one with the prettiest view
It's got mountains, it's got rivers,
It's got woods that give you shivers
But it sure would be prettier with you
When I'm gone
When I'm gone
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
You're gonna miss me by my walk
You'll miss me by my talk, oh
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
I've got my ticket for the long way 'round
These feet weren't built to stay too long
And I'll go there on my own,
But you'll miss me when you're home
It's for you dear that I sing this song
When I'm gone
When I'm gone
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
You're gonna miss me by my hair
You're gonna miss me everywhere, oh
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
When I'm gone
When I'm gone
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
You're gonna miss me by my walk
You're gonna miss me by my talk, oh
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone
Keep checking back for the next Chapter!!!
