We made about $400 in the yard sale, that's including an IOU of about $25 from a couple. Yay! And we had a few TEAM HELENE show up.
I thought this yard sale was for me to raise funds for my mission trip…..well, not only did I raise funds but God also sent someone to give me words of encouragement. God is so amazing!!!
At the yard sale today a lady came up to me and said “I just made a B turn to come here and now I know why”. She started to explain to me how she does not go to yard sales. She overheard me talk to another customer about my World Race Mission trip and she proceeded to explain how she saw the signs and said "I am not going to this yard sale, but I felt a tug in the pit of my stomach pulling me to go. But I kept driving. I continued to feel the tug and decided to come and now, I know why". She said “God is going to give you a double portion. Yes, you’ve been to Uganda but this trip is different. You need to write down the vision and dreams that God has revealed to you and seek God. God knows what you’ve gone through and he is going to reveal things to you, so you need to write them down”.
She continued saying “be patient and not anxious like the Tribe of Judah. God told them that he has a land for them, a land of milk and honey, because they were not patient and disobeyed God they roam for 40 years in the wilderness. God will take you beyond. God has put you through the fire to refine you.1 Peter 1:7 Be aware of your surroundings and pray when you are lead". As she was speaking she kept saying “God keeps revealing things to me about you". She just started praying. She asked me “do you know about prayer covering? You need to get people who are prayer warriors to pray for you while on this trip. You are going to dangerous territories. I will be praying for you".
Mind you, while listening to her God is telling me to receive it because it is from him. The joy that overwhelmed my soul. I told her thank you and that I receive it, she said “I know you received it I can see the joy”. She then gave a donation and left.
I am calling all prayer warriors to please put me down on your pray list and pray for me every day or night. This trip is not about me, it is about the lives that God will touch and the people that he will heal emotionally and physically. Please pray for protection over my life and my fellow teammates. I am really excited about what God will be doing on this trip!!! God's will be done!
