I have been in Kenya for 4 weeks. 3 of those weeks were spent doing ministry. Team Transformers and Team Aletheia
have been working together at SEEK (Suba Environmental Education of Kenya) in
Mbita. SEEK is a ministry whose main goal is to reach local Kenyan’s and teach
them how to live off of what resources they have. They provide seminars and courses to train locals about
agriculture. SEEK is located on Lake Victoria, which is huge, and we have done
a variety of ministries with them.
While here we worked in the garden, prayed for men and women
in the hospitals, and shared with widows. For two days, we went to beach
housing and presented a program for the fishermen that live there and shared
with their families. We visited
New Hope Orphanage, participated in youth rallies, preached every Sunday at
different churches, and led bible studies.
So far, this has been my favorite country. I have fallen in love with the
people here.
