Hello from Malaybalay, Philippines on the island of Mindanao! After a week of travel and preparation in Manila, we are now at Kids International Ministries where we will be serving until mid-October.

We are so blessed by our ministry contact this month. We are sleeping dormitory style (no tent! Whoo!), have running water, and have our meals prepared for us. Oh yeah, and I get COLD at night!

This next month holds a ton of freedom to ask God where he wants us as there are so many different ministry opportunities to take part in. There is a prison ministry where we will be able to teach English to and fellowship with the male youth who are there, there are opportunities to work at the children’s home (cooking, helping kids get ready, assisting with devotionals, and loving on God’s children!), to lay grass, to build steps for the mission here where right now there is only dirt, to build a bathroom for a family, to share our testimonies, to work with youth in gangs, and so much more. So far I’ve been digging up grass and just had my first shift at the children’s home last night (infants and toddlers…who knew they pooped so much!).

I thank you all so much for your encouragement and prayers. Please continue praying health and safety over my team and my squad. Drop me a line anytime-I love it! I’ll do my best to respond, it just may take a week or two!! Much love to you all from the Philippines!
