God has been teaching me a lot this month . Because of this many of my blogs have been about lessons learned. So for those of you who want to see and read a bit more about what I’ve done this month and where your donations have been going, here you go!

First we dug up patches of bad grass and weeds. Then we dug up sod from a plantation about 30 minutes away, hauled it back, and planted it. This will be the soccer field that the children’s home uses as well as the summer camp and Saturday Awanas program. We planted around 16,000 pathes of grass. How’s that for a workout?

This is where we were able to love on 22 of God’s most beautiful and beloved children. Whether we were playing with the kids during our free time, waking up before the sun to get the kids showered and ready for school, tucking the girls in at night, or working the overnight shift with the infants, the children’s home was both a challenge and an immense blessing.

Saturdays were CRAZY! Several hundred kids from Malaybalay come to sing worship songs, eat a healthy meal, receive a teaching from the Bible, and have FUN as all kids should be able to. This was also a time we were able to minister to the high school students who helped with the AWANAS program .

These are the three areas I was most involved in this month. Our group also built stairs and a bathroom, ministered to prisoners and youth at the local jail, spent Sunday nights with local gangsters, and fellowshiped with college students.
Get ready for even more of what God’s doing as we enter month 2: CAMBODIA!
