So in case you haven’t met me, I love my Mom…a lot.
My superlative at Christmas was “Most likely to get a Mom
tattoo.” No plans on getting a tattoo anytime soon, but if I were, a Mom tattoo
doesn’t sound like a half-bad idea. J
From the amount I’ve talked about my Mom on this trip, one
might think I’m SLIGHTLY obsessed. What can I say? I HAVE THE BEST MOM IN THE
WORLD!
really. I do.
Mom, thank you for being the most amazing woman I know. You
live your life as love. You are
selfless, always putting others needs before your own. It is because you taught
me from a young age to care for those “less fortunate” that I find myself on
this trip. And though you want me close to home, it is because you gave me to
God and allowed me to follow His will that I am here.
You are the epitome of a great woman of God: loving,
gracious, beautiful, giving, patient, intelligent, and a lover of Jesus. I
could go on for days.
Thank you for all the sacrifices you’ve made for your
family. Thank you for loving me through the times when I was a hormonal
teenager (…or a hormonal 24 year old), for being my #1 supporter (along with
Dad!), for adopting and loving my previously emaciated guinea pig (who knew you
were supposed to feed them, like, every day), and for wanting to be here in
India to fan my butt rash…and for loving me even though I post things like that
on the internet J
Thank you for being a living example of God’s love in my life. 83 days, Mom!!
