It feels like it has been a while since I have wrote a blog last but in reality the days are so full with things to do that it just seems longer then it really was. So I am going to write two blogs for you today, as it will be easier to read and collect my thoughts haha!

So lets go back a couple days to Friday September 19th, 2014…

When I woke up on Friday morning I had a peace of what I was going to share that morning to the hospital staff at chapel. No questions arouse in my mind of whether it was going to be for them or not. I never read over my notes before going into the chapel (This is very unusual for me.. I usually always read over my notes before speaking, mostly because I doubt myself if it’s from God or not) I just did my morning devotions and knew everything was going to go well. 8:30am came fast and we went into the chapel. I stood up and words just started flowing out of my mouth. I knew this wasn’t out of my power since I am not one to speak in public… I mumble a lot haha. The Holy Spirit was really doing all the work. God spoke to me to speak out of Joshua 3 and 4 about how the Jordan was parted so Joshua and the Israelites could walk across dry land. God was saying that the hospital would also be parted and doors will open so the hospital staff can walk through. The best part was after chapel a staff member came up to me and said, “This was from God I know this because yesterday we talked about these exact chapters in the chapel from another member from the staff. The verses are actually still written on the chalk board behind you but written in Marathi (this is the language they speak in this specific village)”. This gave me the chills and I couldn’t have thanked God enough for the chapters I got to speak over them. Everyone felt so blessed from the word, along with myself. I was blown away with how much God is working through me already when we have only been here for 2 weeks!! How awesome is Gods power, like seriously! 🙂

Moving forward to Saturday 20th, 2014….

Today we moved out of the hospital campus and drove 20 minutes to the Children’s Aid Orphanage still in Kolhapur, India. We got here and were blessed as soon as we entered the door. Greeted with roses, whenever we go some place new or visit a school and hostel we are always greeted with roses (we had 4 bouquets of flowers this week already!!). The generosity here is unbelievably overwhelming, in a good way of course! J They make you feel welcomed and at home. The children introduced themselves; they each stood up and said “Hi my name is ____________”. When we all sat down from entering the orphanage. There are about 20 children in this orphanage between the ages of 6 to 15. The most touching thing since we have been here so far was when a little boy went into his room and pulled out a cross necklace. He came running out of his room and showed me this necklace. At first I thought he was showing me something he got but then one of the girls told me he wants me to have it! This touched my heart; as they have so little all they want to do is bless you! I couldn’t believe it and it made my heart melt J He then asked me to wear it, so I did. 🙂 This orphanage is amazing and as God promised I would be in an orphanage in India and here I am!
