Hello, everyone! THANK YOU for taking the time to check out my blog!
My name is Heaven, and I am 23 years old. I recently finished graduate school (YAY!), earning a masters in Human Services Marriage and Family Counseling. My bachelors degree is in Human Development.
I live in Columbia, Missouri (where I have always resided) with my mother and two siblings, Destiny and Maurice. I have a very special relationship with both of my parents (Hi Mom, Hi Daddy!) and both of my siblings.
In my free time I love to read books, go to the movie theater, eat good food, and spend time with my friends and family. I also LOVE to sing! With the exception of sleep, I don’t think an hour of my life has ever gone by without the presence of singing. While singing along to Disney music is a great joy in my life, it doesn’t compare to the love I have for leading worship!
Despite singing on the worship team at my church and being a worship leader for the past several years, something that I have struggled with is being way too much of an introvert. I know that my year on the World Race will be a giant step outside my comfort zone and I pray that God would transform me throughout this whole journey to walk in the authority and boldness that He has given me.
I have been serving God basically my whole life and I feel that God has lead me to the World Race as the next step in my walk with Him. My heart is to help the poor, lost, and hurting. I know that this journey won’t be easy at all times, but I know that with God in it, all things are possible!
Please join me and my family in prayer as I spend the next 11 months preparing for the World Race! I know that God has the power to prepare me for this journey mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Furthermore, I know that God is able to provide the funds for this journey as well!
