I have safely arrived in Churachandpur, Manipur, India. I love it here so much. Here’s what our first week here has looked like…

On December 4th, we flew out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We had a handful of layovers and about 24 hours of travel, but we eventually arrived in Churachandpur on December 5th.

We were treated with a scrumptious meal thanks to Dhara, our friend and the person who cook all our meals here. I also got to meet and Hannah, a few of the other lovely people that live in the village. Gave me many inspiring words and I shared many laughs with her 9-year-old daughter, Hannah.

The next morning we had the first of many tea times where I get multiple cups of delectable Chai tea. The mornings are super cold, so we’re all pretty bundled up.

After breakfast, we have ministry. Our ministries so far have included painting a school visiting a rehab center and sharing testimonies and spending time with the people that live there, and  doing construction work at a hospital and church.

After ministry, I fester up the courage to take a bucket shower in the cold weather, wash my clothes by hand, hang out with the kids that play around the college campus we’re living at, go to Life Café (the only Café within walking distance with Wi-Fi), shop for some cheap clothes piled up on the side of the road (as a thrift-lover, this is so much fun for me), hike up prayer mountain, spend some time Jesus out in nature or in my team’s room (did I mention I have a bed for the first time in 3 months?), watch a movie with my team, read a book, journal, or play games with the squad (murder in the dark, anyone?). I know that was definitely an improper, run-on sentence, but that was the easiest way for me to give you guys a run-down on what some of my days look like. I normally go to bed around 9:00 p.m., which is an extreme contrast from the late nights in Malaysia. However, it’s been so nice going to bed and waking up early for tea time in the morning.

On Sundays, we get to join services at the local churches. I even got to share a part of my testimony at one.

So far, I love it here so much. I think I’ve probably already said that, but oh well.

I just wanted to give you guys a quick update on what life is like for me right now. Stay tuned for a more interesting blog.

I’m only $439.00 away from being fully-funded. Woo-hoo! Thanks so much to everyone who has donated. My deadline to be fully-funded is January 15th, 2020, which is coming up soon. Please consider donating to help me fundraise this last chunk of money, and pray that the fundraising comes through so that I can stay on the race. I have no doubt that God will be faithful in this. Just look at how much he has already accomplished. Praise God!
