Welcome to my journey! I am so excited to be starting on this journey that I believe God has called me to. For me it started with a challenge from the founder of an organization that I volunteer for. He challenged me to step out of my comfort zone and do what God is calling me to do. I was at a conference listening to the story in Matthew 14 of how Peter was called to step out of the boat and walk on water to Jesus. Now I have heard this story hundreds of time, but last June it took on a whole new meaning. I love how God stops you in your tracks when you stop and listen to him. Be careful what you asked God for, He will answer and for me the answer was pretty overwhelming at first. I couldn’t believe he was asking me to leave the comfortable job (I’ve just gotten by the way) for a year and go serve him all around the world. But the more I ask him if he is sure this is what I am to do, the more he gives me an overwhelming yes it is! I have tried to talk my way out of it countless times, but he just keeps leading me back to this journey. So here I go!!! I’m stepping out of the boat and running on the water towards Jesus!
