God is SO GOOD! Last September when I really decided to give the Lord my full yes to go on the World Race and found out I had to raise $18,017 I had my doubts. That’s a lot of money! Now God has done so many amazing things in my life so I knew I could trust him in this, but still my head kept repeating this number and logistically I couldn’t see it happening. That’s the thing I couldn’t have done this. I couldn’t do it again if I tried. God DID this through a group of amazing individuals praying and financially supporting me. My heart is overwhelmed by the generosity that has been shown to me through this process. I keep getting the question how did you raise all that money? What fundraisers did you do? Umm well…. I had one successful “fundraiser” and that was the mason jar fundraiser. But if you really think about that, again it’s awesome people still just giving out of their servant hearts. Support letters and sharing my heart with people is really the only fundraiser that has gotten me here. I am surrounded by a group of people, some I know well, some I don’t who have caught the vision that people all over this world need Jesus!!! That is why I can say today I AM FULLY FUNDED FOR THE WORLD RACE!!!
I still can’t believe in August I will be embarking on a journey around the world to spend every day intentionally spreading the gospel and serving people. The fact that God has provided every penny just reassures me this is what God has called me to do. I have never felt so sure about anything in my life. He continues to just make all the pieces fall into place and I could not express how grateful I am! He is so good and there just aren’t words to express my appreciation to every person who has prayed for me and given to my trip. Every penny will be used to spread the gospel to the unreached around the globe. As I have stated above I have reached my goal of $18,017 that I was required to raise. If you were planning on giving and still want to PLEASE do not give online on my blog. Please use my blog to follow my journey both now and on the race. If you still want to give please do so to me personally. It will go to gear I will purchase, vaccines and spending money on the race. Another option and what I recommend is to give to one of my teammates. Many are still working diligently to meet their fundraising goals and many will not go if they do not meet goals soon. I am preparing for the journey of a lifetime and I know that God is going to change me and use me to be his hands and feet!
