Time to rejoice!! I met my first deadline this weekend of $5,000!!! I am beyond grateful and overjoyed with the amount of support I have received in raising money and awareness for the greatest adventure and spiritual journey I will be embarking on in just a few short months! Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who has provided prayers, donations and encouragement! My next goal is to make it to $10,000 by the beginning of December!!! We can do this!
I woke up this morning feeling refreshed, motivated and forgetting all of the struggles I faced this past weekend. On Saturday I felt as though I could not catch a break. The enemy saw the amazing work God was doing in my life and wanted to tear me down! And to be honest it was working, I had bracelets stolen from me, I backed into something, leaving a nice scratch down the side of my car, and then to makes things worse I got pulled over and was an absolute wreck!!!! In this moment I felt so broken and questioning why all of this was happening, what had I done to deserve this?! I chose to get upset instead of thinking about what His plan in all of this was. Thankfully, that is when things turned around, I did not get a ticket, my dad was able to help me buff out the scratches in my car, My mom helped me make more bracelets and we have been able to make many sales since! God is so good. Everything that had upset me was materialistic, it doesn’t effect my everyday life, and I needed to realize this and let it go. It wasn’t a bad day, just had a couple hiccups along the way. It was a great day!! I got to share my story with everyone that came to my yard sale, met neighbors I had never spoken to, and created relationships with many people speaking about God’s work and what he is doing through me! I got to do all of this while spending the day with my mom and family, filled with laughs and good company!
I woke up this morning re-reading what a WR teammate had sent me when she found out about my rough day. She said ” he knows how to bring us down, but when those moments come, just crank up the music and worship God for his goodness!” And she was SOO right! Thank you Amanda for helping me realize this! I am so blessed to be on an amazing team with such supportive, encouraging and spiritually powerful individuals! Can’t wait to meet everyone at training camp in Oct 🙂
