Am I really the adult here?
When we have down time, we like to do our laundry! Mom, I know your proud! Or at least try to do it ourselves.
As you have heard, we are never really alone here in our compound (thankfully) but that includes when we are trying to get clean undies.. there are always a plethora of children And they LOVE to help… or we really just looked like we were struggling and they had to step in. Everytime we try, a child intervenes including a four year old! They do our laundry faster, better and more efficient than I ever could! In my defense I have never washed my clothes in a bucket of water, with powder soap and just my arm strength!
We truly are blessed with our washer and dryers back home but in all honesty, my whites have never been whiter than when the ladies here did my laundry!!

We have had so many great memories with the kids here in Diabo. But we have also been blessed with forming friendships with the youth here as well. The teens of the church have become my favorite ministry while here. Every encounter with them has been impromptu but has turned into it’s own ministry whether we are sitting around for hours pointing to different objects learning how to say it in French and teaching them the English, learning local worship songs/dances, playing cards or handball, or simply trying to hold a broken conversation while sitting outside under the stars. Their presence was always a blessing!
